  • Charts on a tab

    Hello,
I'm working on setting up my 3dcart store and have a design question. Planned on using a tab for the size chart needed on most of my products. My old cart had a system that turned the size info into a pop up menu. You could only see one size at a time but the info displayed consistently from PC to tablet to smart phone. The tabs on the 3dcart product page turned my text version into a word jumble when screen size is reduced. Using tables helped control things a bit, but some how it just all looked clunky. Do people use a .jpg for a size chart? Is there a better way to set one up?

I made a responsive template for my size charts and a separate CSS file for it, assigned an extra field to a tab then coded it with a button that links to whatever URL is listed in the extra field. As with all of these 3dcart tabs, it doesn't show if there's nothing in the extra field. I'll PM you a link

Thanks! THAT is very nice size chart. I've come up with something workable, but after seeing yours I'm pretty well embarrassed with what I have.

No Worries :-) Everything's a work in progress. Sometimes it's better to get things done and improve on them later. A little bit of CSS goes a long way.

          Hi bzeltzer,
Had another question for you if you don't mind. I noticed on your store in the browser tab you don't have the default "store_name" followed by "store_slogan" but rather a customized greeting message. In all of 3dcarts labyrinth of customizing info i have not managed to find out how to alter that. Is there a known how to article?

The answer was a simple one, bzeltzer pointed out that it was done in Meta tags. My mind was making it harder than in was. I thought because it auto filled from store settings info you had to do some kind of code change. Turns out the auto fill stuff is easy to change.

Thanks Pack Secure and Bill S . Now I shouldn't be at 666, although when my first grandchild was two I'd put her in my lap and run through her hair looking for the "666" on her.....LOL
