    anyone know a free program to do free watermark on image?

    Can't you do watermarks in MS Word? Not sure but seem to remember something about that.

      For an image you should be able to use any image editing program (Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) to lay text and set it to transparent. I know these are not free but if you use any photo editing software to edit your images you should be able to do this.

          I use to use photoshop "elements" for this. And you can also actually digitally encode a signature in your images which can help deter and catch image theives. I had an image "lifted" by a competitor. I used to watermark, but, it became too time intensive. Folks will steal images one way or another and I really just don't worry about it. If they are lifting images, their website probably isn't doing well anyway... :rolleyes:
